We value our clients and patients.

Valuing clients and patients means we recognize we are here to serve. We do all we can to identify and meet their needs. We treat each person with respect, dignity, courtesy, and understanding. We deliver culturally-sensitive, respectful service in a friendly and helpful manner.

We value teamwork.

Teamwork means all divisions within the department cooperate, communicate, and respect each other's needs in working to achieve our common goals. Teamwork allows us to combine energy and creativity to benefit our organization and those we serve.

We value quality.

We strive for excellence. We value doing it right the first time, accepting responsibility for and learning from our mistakes. We focus our work on making the department better. We value providing the best services to our clients based on available resources.

We value communication.

We recognize the two-way nature of communication and know the value of listening as well as the importance of expressing ourselves. We value each individual's point of view. We focus on issue-oriented communication with clients, vendors, staff, and the public.

We value integrity.

Integrity means we value principles over personal interests. We interact with coworkers and customers in the spirit of respect and professionalism. We treat our coworkers and customers in an open, fair, and ethical manner.

We value respect.

Respect means treating everyone with whom we interact with the same dignity and consideration we would want ourselves. We value each individual's unique personal, cultural, and professional qualities.

We value the public's health.

Public health addresses the needs of the population as a whole. Our Department plays an essential role in providing leadership and policy direction to promote the health and well-being of individuals and communities and to protect them from illness, injury, and environmental hazards.
