Human Services Program
The Human Services Program is a part of the Community Health Division
of the Public Health Department. The Human Services Program performs
the following activities and provides the following services:
Human Services Commission
The Human Services Commission of Santa Barbara County was established
by the Board of Supervisors in 1977 to serve as the primary vehicle
for advice concerning the development of effective human service
policies. More specifically, the Commission is responsible for
recommending the use of County General funds, Children's Trust
funds, and Child Abuse Prevention, Intervention and Treatment
funds to the Board of Supervisors.
