In accordance with California Health and Safety Code, a Temporary Food Facility (TFF) permit is required of the person or organization that is in control of a Community Event at which one or more Temporary Food Facilities operate.

We are committed to providing you with the resources you need to ensure your event is safe and successful.  We have developed a self-paced, online tutorial specifically designed for TFF operators. The course covers guidelines for operating a TFF in Santa Barbara county and instruction for completing the Health Permit Application.

Upon receiving a completed signed application, with attachments and drawing; a Public Health Inspector will be assigned and work closely with you and your organization.

To access our course, simply select  "Tutorial" under the "Resources" menu. The slide presentation tutorial is in a Adobe Acrobat  format and will take a few minutes to come into view.
